Every day, over 350 Australians will have to tell their loved ones they have cancer. This means that, by 2040, 2 million Australians will be living with, or beyond cancer.

As a customer of DoubleUp Tours Party Bus you will have noticed that we like to ‘give back’’ – that means we see ourselves as socially responsible. Not only do we support and take part in a range of community initiatives, fundraisers, and more but we do our best to raise awareness so that you, the community get behind these events. This one is particularly close to our hearts – whether it be yourself, your parents, a friend, relative or work colleague, we have all, at some stage, had or will have, a connection to someone fighting this killer disease!

The Cancer Council has raised over $285m over the past 5 years and is the only Australian charity to work across every area of every cancer. The Cancer Council is the largest, independent funder of cancer research in Australia and, thanks to research, more than 61 000 Australian lives have been saved, which is due to improvements in cancer prevention, screening and treatment.

With the Daffodil being the international symbol of hope, Daffodil Day is an iconic day in the Cancer Council’s calendar,  where supporters and volunteers come together to sell daffodils and merchandise that produce the donations to enable the funding of life-saving research undertaken by the Cancer Council.

This year Daffodil Day will take place on Friday 24 August and celebrates 32 years of turning Australia yellow. With your support, Daffodil Day aims to raise more than $4m for cancer research, which ultimately helps people from the point of diagnosis through to treatment and survival.

Your donation is critical to this cause and will assist Cancer Council to continue to invest in ground breaking research that could one day save the life of someone you love.

A donation of just $15 could make a major difference, so, get behind Daffodil Day and show your support!
